Muzna Al-Jundi

Muzna Al-Jundi is a Syrian civil society activist from Maaret al-Numan and a graduate of the Faculty of Technical Engineering at the University of Aleppo. She is the founder of Basmat Amal Association, the first civil society organisation in Idlib, and continues to serve as a volunteer board member. Since 2013, she has been working with Women Now for Development, where she managed the first women’s and girls’ centre in Maaret al-Numan, providing a safe space for psychosocial support and empowerment. Muzna is passionate about promoting women’s economic, social, and leadership capacities, creating training and employment opportunities, and advocating for gender equity. She has worked as a trainer on political empowerment, democracy, elections, constitutional awareness, and citizenship. Muzna is also a member of the Women’s Advisory Group, contributing to strategies that strengthen women’s participation in political processes and decision-making.
