Anas Al-Rawi

Anas Al-Rawi is the co-founder and Executive Director of Hawaz Centre for Community Development, a Syrian NGO dedicated to empowering local communities and fostering civic participation. He is also a co-founder and board member of the “Wasel” Network, a coalition of local civil society organisations working to strengthen civic engagement and advocacy efforts across Syria. Anas has extensive experience providing training and consulting to Syrian CSOs, specialising in management, peacebuilding, and collaborative strategy development to promote democracy, justice, and active citizenship. He holds a law degree from Alexandria University, which has provided him with a strong foundation for his work in civil and social issues. Anas is also experienced in coordinating between institutions and teams and has contributed to several social studies that inform programme design and strengthen organisational capacities within Syrian civil society.
