Lecture: The State of Women’s Rights in Syria amid Current Developments

On 5 February 2026, Madaniya hosted an interactive lecture organised by the Democratic Change Center, dedicated to discussing the state of women’s rights in Syria in light of recent political developments and decisions. The session examined the legal and human rights implications of these changes on women’s conditions, and their potential impact on pathways toward justice and equality. It also opened space for an extended discussion with participants on the challenges facing feminist and rights-based work at this stage, as well as the opportunities available to defend and advance hard-won gains within the broader political transition context.
